You are walking or sitting in your house, a rodent runs across your floor, and you jump up on the chair and scream and attempt to beat it with or throw at it. You may not even be sure what that was but one thing is for sure it has to go. After you gather your wits about you again, you grab the yellow pages and start looking for someone to call.

Different Methods

There are the normal systems of rodent pest control like poisons, mouse or rat traps that you can put out and hope it kills them. If you have pets and youngsters, you may need to use a different technique. One thing you need to work out is what type of rodent you are working with. Do you have a little mouse problem in your place or are you working with a rat, raccoon or rabbits. Some folks like to call an expert. Some people will get a cat that may help rid your house or barn of the smaller rodents like mice.

If you are one who does not want to use the traditional methods and would rather try a system such a ultrasonic or live trapping then you will want to do some research on the subject to find out what other sorts of methods can be employed. There are multiple different and newer products and gadgetry on the market now that may work for you.

It can be maddening to find a rabbit in your garden or flower bed eating all your plants. If you live on a farm some of the rodents your will have to deal with will be terribly hungry and can damage pens for birds and other little animals trying to get to eggs or garbage. They carry sicknesses and can make you, your pets and family sick. There'll be feces where ever they go and infrequently a trail of eradication. They can invade your food supply and some are very smart and will not even go near any sort of traps or poisons.

Do some research and be sure that you know what you are working with and what techniques are available. Be sure you know of any cautions or hazards there might be in the methods that you use. Read and find ways to help forestall rodents from having any reason to go to you.
